ECS specializes in providing high quality healthcare services to patients in a variety of settings in the state of Indiana. Patients residing in nursing homes, assisted living facilities or their own homes have been receiving care by our providers since 2005.
ECS provides a variety of healthcare services including a medical team of primary care physicians, NPs, PAs, wound NPs, and a behavioral health team of psychologists, LCSWs, and psych NPs. We offer primary care, wound care, pain management, psychiatric medication management, and mental health counseling. Through our partnerships, ECS is also capable of delivering RNs, LPNs, social workers, nutritionists, and home health aides to those who require frequent and routine assistance.
ECS provides all inclusive care, not only for patients themselves, but also healthcare institutions including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and independent living communities. Residents no longer have to wait hours at a doctor's office and transportation inconveniences for facilities are no longer a worry as ECS brings professional and state of the art healthcare directly to facilities.
Extended Care Specialists, Inc. is a multi-specialty medical group which was established in 2005 to meet the post-acute care healthcare needs of our geriatric population. History demonstrates that we provide exceptional holistic medical care, as evidenced by single digit readmission rates, overall patient/family satisfaction, and excellent measurable quality outcomes. Extended Care Specialists, Inc. is co-owned by two nurse practitioners with expert knowledge and a combined 38 years of experience in this setting. ECS maintains a constant pulse on the ever-changing dynamics of healthcare reform and its impact on the post-acute care arena. However, what really sets ECS apart from other businesses is that our true passion for serving the geriatric population is our ultimate focus.
Extended Care Specialists, Inc. employs over 100 providers including Physicians, Physicians Assistants (PAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Medical Assistants (MAs), Psychologists, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) with specialties in the area of primary care, psychiatric, wound care and pain management. We provide services in over 200 long term care, rehab, assisted living, and independent care facilities throughout the entire state of Indiana. We also have NPs dedicated to providing transitional care visits after discharge. In addition, we establish and staff employee clinics with our NPs at many facilities to manage acute healthcare needs of staff. This has been instrumental in reducing absenteeism and attrition at nursing facilities, subsequently providing financial benefit for the building.
During the years we have been in business, we have developed loyal alliances with various hospitals, physician groups, home health care agencies, ACOs, long term care corporations and hospice companies. These relationships have contributed to the continuity and excellent patient care outcomes for our residents.
